Job summary

Fifth Third Bank seeks candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I program intended to move into a polished Financial Center role. The role focuses on consultative selling, building customer relationships, and processing teller transactions while rotating through operations and Sales & Service during onboarding.

Selected candidates will complete a 4-8 week program, culminating in a certification to perform as a Retail Personal Banker. Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new customers.
• Understanding of advanced math functions for credit/financial analysis.
• Professional appearance and verbal/written communication.
• Knowledge of Retail policies and procedures; sound judgment.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at employment via NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and financial needs assessment to profile customers.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Collaborate with partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial) to refer customers.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals; drive revenue growth.
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow risk policies.
