Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Retail Personal Banker I in a programmatic path toward a Financial Center role. The position emphasizes consultative selling to identify financial needs and deliver tailored solutions, with opportunities to rotate through operations and Sales & Service during onboarding.

You will handle teller transactions and participate as part of a platform staff, aiming to build new households and deepen existing relationships.

Qualifications

• College degree or transferrable skills or combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Sales aptitude to acquire new consumer households and small business customers and cross-sell to existing customers.
• Ability to analyze credit and financial information using advanced math functions.
• Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication.
• Familiarity with Retail policies and procedures to exercise good judgment.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration through NMLS is required at employment.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales to build a customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend suitable solutions.
• Set appointments for periodic financial reviews using approved tools.
• Cross-sell to the existing customer base and participate in outside sales activities.
• Coordinate with Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial) to refer customers.
• Meet or exceed customer experience and production goals and contribute to revenue growth.
• Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes and maintain confidentiality.
