Job summary

Royal Farms is seeking a hands-on Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in high-volume convenience store, retail, and restaurant operations in Maryland. You will lead shifts, supervise associates, and drive our world-class food service experience with a focus on service quality and operational excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, plus the ability to plan, coach, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fast food, retail, or related management.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
• Basic proficiency in business math, accounting, and computer applications.
• Demonstrated analytical and decision-making abilities.
• An ANSI approved Food Safety Manager Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading daily store operations and supervising associates.
• Lead shifts and manage customer escalations with a focus on service excellence.
• Plan and execute short-term initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and sales.
• Develop team members through coaching, onboarding, and training.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety, and cash handling procedures.
• Monitor store performance and implement improvement initiatives.
• Foster customer engagement and community outreach.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and uphold brand standards.
