Job summary

The Home Depot offers an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT) program to gain hands-on experience in store leadership. Trainees work with the Store Manager, ASMs, and field teams to learn to develop and implement strategies that boost sales and profitability, including customer service, safety, and operations.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program covering all aspects of store management, including operations, customer service, sales and profitability, and policy compliance.
• Supervise associates in selling efforts and model company culture while addressing customer concerns promptly.
• Plan merchandise placement and inventory integrity with partners; learn to operate store systems and daily financial operations.
• Perform opening/closing duties and uphold SOPs; ensure safety compliance and process accuracy.
