Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT) to gain hands-on experience in store management. You will work with the Store Manager, ASMs, and field teams to learn staffing, customer service, sales, safety, and profitability.

The six-week training covers core responsibilities and performance management while executing SOPs and policies. During training, you’ll lead by example, support service needs, and develop actionable plans for department success,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of retail store operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program covering store management, operations, and policies.
• Oversee customer service, supervise associates, and address customer issues promptly.
• Plan merchandise placement and inventory support with key partners.
• Open/Close MOD and execute other store-wide responsibilities per SOPs.
• Uphold safety policies and hazmat procedures on the sales floor.
