Job summary

ALO in Farmington, CT is seeking an Operations Lead to join the store leadership team and drive profitability and efficiency. The role requires moving across the sales floor and back of house, while proactively supporting guests and maintaining store standards.

You will partner with Operations & Visual Managers to manage reporting, budgets, and vendor relationships, while coaching Associates to grow and excel in a dynamic retail environment. ALO’s guiding principles guide every decision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of client-centric, sales environment experience.
• Proven leadership capabilities with strong decision-making.
• Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide it.
• Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Aligns with ALO’s Guiding Principles.
• Requires constant movement in all areas of the store.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder.
• Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute inventory management processes to maximize accuracy and reduce shrink.
• Investigate inventory accuracy issues and elevate process gaps with the GM.
• Manage shipment, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, and floor replenishment.
• Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
• Support safe, efficient operation through stockroom standards.
• Partner with Operations & Visual Managers to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized.
• Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies.
• Move dynamically on the retail floor to meet the needs of the business, team and guests.
• Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
• Directly oversee Operations Associates; recruit and develop talent.
• Use performance tools to evaluate team members and provide feedback for growth.
• Collaborate with Visual Lead for cross-functional training and with Sales & Service Lead to ensure execution.
• Execute company directives and initiatives to achieve goals and KPIs.
• Open and close the store in line with BOH standards.
