Job summary

PetSmart Store Support Group, Inc. is seeking a Retail Operations Lead to drive store performance through effective merchandising, inventory management, and pet-care operations while guiding associates.

This role also covers opening/closing duties and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment. The position requires supervising experience, strong communication, and the ability to train and coach staff, with a focus on delivering an excellent pet-parent experience in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with computer applications and POS systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in store presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide sales associates in merchandise handling and presentation standards.
• Support associate development, onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Delegate daily tasks and act as Leader on Duty when needed.
• Ensure store merchandising, inventory accuracy, cash handling, and POS compliance.
• Maintain store standards and uphold Policies, Procedures, and Code of Ethics.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and safeguard a safe, organized environment.
