Job summary

PetSmart’s Retail Operations Lead is responsible for driving operational excellence in our stores, including merchandising, inventory management, pet care operations, and overseeing associates during opening and closing shifts. The role emphasizes a culture of safety, policy compliance, and customer service excellence.

As the leader on duty at times, you will guide associates, train on product knowledge, and ensure a visually appealing store layout.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and inventory management to optimize sales.
• Oversee associates and store opening/closing procedures.
• Execute merchandising strategies, product placement, displays, and promotions.
• Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions in compliance with policies.
• Maintain store standards and uphold Policies, Procedures & Code of Ethics.
