Job summary

Northern Tool + Equipment is hiring a Retail Operations Team Lead to greet customers, manage stocking, and support day-to-day store operations at our Indianapolis location. You will lead floor operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain an organized sales floor while promoting credit and service plans.

The role requires at least 1 year of retail experience, a passion for tools and equipment, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail experience is required.
• Ability to lead and mentor store employees.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Love of tools & equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional service to customers.
• Lead and execute key operational functions to ensure store efficiency, inventory accuracy, and readiness.
• Maintain a neat and orderly store environment including merchandising, planograms, displays and stocking shelves.
• Lead by example and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Support store leadership by serving as Floor Leader (about 25% of time) and opening/closing the store.
