Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Operations Associate to deliver an outstanding customer experience. This early morning role operates with a team to complete store functions before opening, handling pricing, restocking, receiving merchandise, and supporting omnichannel initiatives.

You will engage customers, manage backroom standards, and execute merchandising plans while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in daily operations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work early morning shifts and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers with product questions.
• Execute pricing and signing across merchandise to ensure accuracy and speed.
• Replenish and restock the sales floor to keep sizes and styles available.
• Receive and unload merchandise and prepare backroom inventory.
• Maintain clean, safe backroom standards and organization.
• Support omnichannel initiatives including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship from Store.
• Implement merchandising plans to align with leadership directions and drive sales.
• Participate in training to learn processes and operate with urgency and accuracy.
