Job summary

The Michaels store in Pottsville, PA is seeking team members to deliver friendly customer service, help customers find products, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout process. Responsibilities include stocking, returns, BOPIS/SFS support, and maintaining well-merchandised shelves.

Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, flexibility for varied shifts including nights and weekends, and readiness to comply with store policies and safety standards. Minimum age 16+.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
• Michaels requires all team members in this role to be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards program enrollments and private label cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns process and store recovery.
• Perform In Stock Optimization and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; serve as a role model for others.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
