The Home Depot is seeking a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Training (MASM-IT) to gain hands-on experience in key store functions across departments including Garden, Hardware, Lumber, and Electrical. The program combines on-the-job learning with mentorship and leadership development to prepare you for an Assistant Store Manager role.

During the six-week training, MASMs in Training will learn to lead by example, supervise associates, manage operations, and collaborate with Store

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Responsibilities

• 45% - Training and Preparing for Assistant Manager Position: Participate in a structured training program covering all aspects of retail store management, including operations, customer service, sales & profitability, and company policies and procedures.
• Learn and demonstrate tactics to support staffing and scheduling, identifying stock deficiencies, supervising associates in selling behaviors, resolving customer issues, and supporting service needs for both installed sales/special orders and product sales.
• Learn and demonstrate the performance management process, including review of associate performance and how to execute the disciplinary process when necessary.
