Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Training (MASM-IT) to gain hands-on experience across Garden, Hardware, Lumber, Building Materials, Plumbing, and Electrical departments. You will work with Store Managers and Merchandising teams to execute key programs that improve service, product availability, and store presentation.

During the up-to-6‑week training, you’ll learn MASM duties, stocking, scheduling, and performance management while supporting installed sales

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates in selling efforts and model GET culture, elevating customer service and engagement.
• Perform opening/closing MOD and other store-wide responsibilities while enforcing SOPs and safety compliance.
• Ensure safety and hazmat procedures are followed by self and team at all times.
• Plan merchandise placement, signing, and stock integrity with key partners; manage store equipment and daily finances.
• Participate in a structured training program covering operations, customer service, sales & profitability, and company policies.
