Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager in Hudson, WI to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store through strong workload planning and inventory management. You will lead SOP adherence, policy execution, MOD coverage, and coordination with store leadership to align staffing and tasks with business needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes, including unloading and sorting for sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution and ensure merchandising sets are completed on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized, customer-ready store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and proper stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant, customer-focused signage and placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and on time across floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship-from-Store fulfillment and ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction efforts.
• Train, coach, and develop team through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
