Bass Pro Shops in Anchorage, AK seeks a Retail Manager to supervise one or more Sales Departments and drive store performance. You will oversee merchandising, pricing, inventory, staff development, and customer service to deliver a legendary shopping experience.

You will open/close the store, manage schedules, conduct interviews, and coach associates to meet financial plans and company standards. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Retail Management experience leading one or more sales departments.
• Strong numerical ability to calculate discounts, commissions and percentages.
• Ability to read, interpret and write reports and business correspondence.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to train and coach staff.
• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets and inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; serve as Manager on Duty when assigned.
• Staff and train departments; conduct interviews, manage schedules, and evaluate performance.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing, planograms and inventory control per Corporate guidelines.
• Deliver customer service excellence and resolve issues for customers and associates.
• Lead sales initiatives, promote programs like CLUB Membership and in-store pick-up.
• Prepare weekly schedules and motivate team to achieve targets.
