Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Anchorage, Alaska seeks an Assistant General Manager to assist the GM with store merchandising and operations, ensuring a world-class shopping experience.

The AGM will oversee Receiving, Customer Service, Maintenance and Sales, and participate in interviewing, training, and scheduling while driving advertising, planograms, payroll, and financial performance to meet corporate plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in big box, high-volume management with responsibility for multiple Sales Departments and Receiving/Front End experience.
• Experience supervising departments, interviewing and training staff, and managing payroll/expenses as directed.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze reports, budgets, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store and assume store responsibility when GM is away.
• Directly supervise Receiving, Customer Service, Maintenance and Sales via Group Sales Managers.
• Coordinate staffing, interviews, training, and performance appraisals.
• Develop schedules, coach associates, and promote positive customer relations.
• Drive merchandising, planograms, advertising, and inventory control to meet financial plans.
