Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking a Salon Director in Training to help drive store performance, lead a team of tanning consultants, and deliver an outstanding client experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will coach staff, manage daily operations, and contribute to revenue growth while upholding quality and cleanliness. Prior management or sales experience in beauty or retail is preferred; strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Beauty Industry and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
• Team building and delegation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily salon operations in a fast-paced setting.
• Lead by example to deliver a client-centric experience and meet sales goals.
• Maintain a professional, clean salon environment.
• Set clear goals and coach Team Members to achieve them.
• Provide training and feedback to improve daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and assist with director duties.
• Help control revenue and expenses while maintaining staffing levels.
• Work nights and weekends; 5-day weeks with ~35–45 hours.
