Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure environment at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor. The role deters theft, enforces Code 50 inspection policies, and partners with store leadership to minimize shortages while protecting the Ross treasure.

Engage customers with a courteous greeting, uphold company standards, and support district initiatives. Prior experience in retail supervision or security is preferred, with a valid security license a plus.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for associates and customers.
• Provides visible greeting and presence at store entrances/exits.
• Monitors for potential safety or security issues and communicates with leadership.
• Protects Ross brand and maintains professional appearance.
• Monitors theft indicators and supports Loss Prevention initiatives.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners as needed.
