Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits, mitigate theft and ensure a safe environment for Associates and Customers. The role involves coordinating with Store Leadership to address theft indicators, support shortage reduction, and uphold company standards.

The position requires at least 1 year of retail supervision or Loss Prevention training, plus strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers at entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Provides visible presence and greeting to deter theft and monitor Code 50 package inspection policy.
• Collaborates with Store Leadership to minimize shortages and enforce Loss Prevention directives.
• Supports corporate and store brand standards with professional appearance and conduct.
• Communicates theft indicators and collaborates with Loss Prevention leadership to address trends.
• Involves in training Associates on shortage reduction initiatives and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned to support Loss Prevention initiatives.
