Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks a Loss Prevention/Security Specialist to maintain a safe store environment, greet customers, and deter theft.

You will partner with store leadership to minimize shortages and ensure compliance with loss prevention directives while upholding the Ross treasure and brand. Requirements include HS-equivalent education, 1 year in retail loss prevention or supervision, and a valid security guard license.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Greet customers, display command presence, and monitor for safety issues.
• Deterrence of theft and compliance with loss prevention directives.
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to minimize shortage and support initiatives.
• Train and educate associates on shortage reduction and procedures.
• Adhere to company policy for external theft response.
