Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers. You will greet customers, monitor entrances, and support store leadership in reducing shrink and ensuring policy compliance.

Role requires high school education, retail supervisory experience, and preferred loss prevention training. Base pay ranges from $17.40 to $17.90 per hour, with responsibilities across loss prevention initiatives and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible command presence at store entrances/exits.
• Monitors the Code 50 package inspection policy and potential theft indicators.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention.
• Assists with compliance with Loss Prevention directives and minimization of shortage.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Observes checkout procedures to ensure proper practices.

Education
