Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe environment at Store entrances/exits and deter theft.

The role supports the Area Loss Prevention Manager across assigned stores, with a base pay range of $18.40–$22.21/hour and a combination in-office/remote work option. You will greet customers, monitor for suspicious activity, uphold safety procedures, and partner with store leadership to minimize shrink.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills and customer service mindset are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and work with diverse teams.
• One year retail supervisor experience or security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Safe & Secure Environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible presence and monitors entrances/exits and sales floor.
• Removes clutter and ensures safe egress to emergency exits.
• Delivers excellent customer service by greeting customers and answering questions.
• Collaborates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention teams; participates in district meetings and trainings.
• Performs other duties to support Loss Prevention initiatives.
