Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Security Specialist to maintain a safe and secure environment for associates and customers. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, deter theft, and partner with store leadership on loss prevention initiatives, wearing a company vest and following Code 50 inspection policy.

The role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and the ability to handle busy retail floors. Candidates should have a High School diploma and one year of loss prevention or security

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety as the number one priority and supports Store Leadership in keeping a safe environment.
• Provides visible presence at entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Greets Customers and addresses questions in a friendly manner.
• Communicates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention on indicators of theft.
• Supports compliance with Loss Prevention directives and practices.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Observes proper checkout procedures and protects the brand.
