Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks a Security Specialist to deter theft and maintain a safe store environment. You will be visible at entrances/exits in a company vest, monitor for safety issues, and support Loss Prevention initiatives while providing courteous customer service.

The role requires solid communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting. Extensive interaction with store leadership and team members is expected, with compliance to all applicable laws

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and conflict-resolution ability.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with store team.
• Must comply with applicable federal and state laws for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible presence at store entrances/exits to deter theft.
• Monitor for potential safety issues and assist Store Leadership.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and deliver courteous service.
• Support Loss Prevention initiatives and compliance with directives.
• Minimize operational shortage through adherence to procedures.
