Job summary

Burlington is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and support theft-prevention initiatives across high-risk areas with a proactive, energetic approach.

Role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Monitor entrance, exits and high‑risk areas to reduce opportunities for theft and dishonesty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store personnel per safety standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress standards during shifts.
