Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report theft incidents to management, while training colleagues on shortage reduction programs.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to visually monitor store environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
Ability to greet customers with energy and maintain a positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

Monitor the entrance for the entire shift to reduce theft opportunities.
Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm smile and a confident greeting.
Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to Manager on Duty.
Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs.
Demonstrate safety as a top priority and address unsafe practices promptly.
Maintain professional appearance and follow dress standards.
