Job summary

Burlington is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances/exits, greet customers, and support loss prevention efforts with a proactive presence.

You will collaborate with store leadership, participate in trainings, and report suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; part-time positions available with benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, or asset protection.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods while monitoring the store.
• Strong communication and observational skills with a confidential approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a warm, energetic greeting and eye contact.
• Identify and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks in accordance with safety standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs.
