Job summary

Burlington is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to guard entrances and high-risk areas, monitor activity, and greet customers with energy and confidence. You will report theft or suspicious behavior to leadership and help maintain a safe shopping environment with compliant bag checks and professional conduct.

This role supports store leadership and loss prevention initiatives. Ideal candidates have 1+ years in customer service or retail, can stand for long periods, and communicate

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Strong communication with customers and co-workers and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance and exit to reduce theft opportunities and maintain security standards.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and energetic greeting to promote a sense of control and safety.
• Conduct bag and package checks in accordance with safety standards for associates and visitors.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
