Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. seeks a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering outstanding customer service. You will monitor entrances/exits, greet customers, and report suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.
• Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and confident demeanor.
• Identify and report theft incidents and suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Partner with store leadership to maintain security standards and safe operations.
