Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers with energy, and report theft incidents to leadership.

Training and promoting shortage reduction programs are key parts of the role. Ideal candidates have 1+ years in customer service or retail, can work a fast-paced environment, and enjoy engaging with customers and associates.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention or operations preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk and monitor store environment for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm, loud, friendly greeting at store entrances/exits.
• Monitor front of store for security and theft prevention throughout shifts.
• Identify theft incidents and report to Manager on Duty promptly.
• Conduct bag checks in line with safety and security standards.
• Openly share theft prevention knowledge during rallies and training sessions.
