Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Specialist to provide a visible security presence at store entrances/exits, greet customers, and deter theft while supporting loss prevention strategies across the store. You will work with leadership to ensure compliance and protect the Ross treasure.

The role emphasizes maintaining a safe environment, professional appearance, and strong teamwork with store colleagues and district partners, including training peers on shortage reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with federal and state laws for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure store environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provide visible command presence at entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Assist leadership in preventing theft and reducing operational shortage.
• Deliver courteous customer service, greet customers, and answer questions.
• Support loss prevention initiatives and participate in district meetings as needed.
• Represent Ross brand with professional appearance and behavior.
