Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention specialist to serve as a visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor. You will deter theft, support compliance with Loss Prevention directives, and greet customers in a courteous manner to protect associates and customers.

The role emphasizes professional appearance, teamwork, and collaboration with Store Leadership to minimize operational shortages while upholding Ross values.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Compliance with applicable federal and state laws for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provide visible command presence at entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Mitigate theft indicators and support Loss Prevention directives.
• Train and educate Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Represent the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
