Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits, deter theft, and maintain a safe environment for associates and customers. You will greet customers, monitor for theft indicators, and collaborate with Store Leadership on security directives.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting, professional appearance, and compliance with laws.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor to deter theft.
• Collaborates with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives.
• Monitors for suspicious behavior and identifies theft indicators.
• Maintains a professional appearance and supports the Ross brand.
• Trains Associates on shortage reduction initiatives and safety procedures.
• Performs other duties to support Loss Prevention initiatives.
