Job summary

Meijer is offering an internship program designed to develop store leadership skills through hands-on experience in day-to-day store operations. Interns will mentor teammates, manage assignments, and drive customer service excellence across departments.

The 11-week internship includes challenging projects, final presentations to senior leadership, executive speaker series, and professional development opportunities, with potential to convert to full-time leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Experiential program designed for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Past leadership responsibilities in work or extracurricular activities strongly preferred.
• Passion for retail and a desire to enter a career in store leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in the day-to-day operations within various departments of the store.
• Serves as the mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met and service is quick and efficient.
• Maintains store appearance with a focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
