Meijer offers an 11-week Store Leadership Internship designed to build foundational retail knowledge and expose participants to leadership rotations. Interns will engage in challenging projects, attend executive sessions, and present results to senior leaders.

The program aims to fast-track high-potential interns into future store leadership roles, with opportunities for advancement and measurable development.

Qualifications

• Experiential program designed for students enrolled in a Bachelor's degree
• Ability to work flexible shifts to gain exposure to store operations
• Prior retail experience preferred but not required
• Past leadership in activities is strongly preferred
• Passion for retail and leadership in store operations

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals
• Ensure safe and welcoming store environment
• Drive store performance and maintain brand standards
• Support onboarding and training of new team members
• Communicate with customers and team to deliver exceptional service
