Job summary

Target's Stores Executive Internship is a paid, 40hr/week program designed to develop store leaders. As a Stores Executive Intern, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to the Assistant Store Manager path and work alongside mentors and managers to learn the business.

You’ll lead teams on the sales floor and in backrooms, participate in daily operations, guest service, merchandising, and performance discussions, while building leadership skills for future roles.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our stores in management
• Leadership skills and team-oriented thinking
• Learn and adapt to current technology needs
• Work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the store sales floor and backroom leading team members and aligning the team on daily business priorities
• Working alongside your Executive Team Lead (ETL) mentor to gain an understanding of their roles
• Leading through daily priorities (stocking shelves, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment inviting to guests)
• Partnering with leaders regarding team member performance with coaching and feedback
• Addressing team member concerns and removing hurdles to ensure smooth operations and goal attainment
• Leading/presenting at daily huddles with peer/leadership team
