Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Retail Lead Associate to help run a busy store, donation site and production area. In the store's absence, you supervise associates, uphold standards and model outstanding customer service.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (or a combination of education and experience), 1 year of leadership experience preferred, and the ability to pass a background check; evenings and weekends may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination of education and work experience considered.
• 1 year experience in a leadership role preferred.
• No professional certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Run store operations in the absence of the store and assistant manager, including front end and production areas.
• Monitor progress of associates toward goals; manage production and Round Up reports.
• Participate in production based on business demands.
• Maintain high cleanliness and visual merchandising; exemplify customer service.
• Promote Goodwill's standards of exceptional customer service.
• Assist store management with onboarding, monthly meetings, check-ins and appraisals.
• Solicit feedback from customers and associates; take action.
• Utilize management reports to identify trends and store activity.
• Submit closing, accident, risk training, Kronos documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate with supervisor and management about problems in store operations and personnel.
• Look for opportunities to improve efficiencies, processes and people development.
• Fully participate in meetings and learning opportunities.
