Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill seeks a Retail Lead to oversee store operations, deliver excellent customer service, supervise associates, and manage register functions on a busy sales floor in Belton, TX. This role drives merchandising, product flow, and front-end organization while upholding company policies and safety protocols.

You will lead by example, train staff, and handle daily scheduling and performance feedback.

Qualifications

Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a supervisory or team lead role.
Experience overseeing daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and staff supervision.
Strong background in training, coaching, and motivating a diverse team to meet sales and operational goals.
Familiarity with loss prevention, safety protocols, and adherence to company policies.
Demonstrated ability to handle customer issues, manage schedules, and ensure a high level of store performance.

Responsibilities

Oversee customer service to ensure a friendly, clean environment and consistent service standards.
Train and may directly supervise retail associates and program participants.
Provide input on employee performance and store operations as needed.
Manage register procedures, cash handling, and end-of-day deposits.
Maintain product flow and merchandising, rotation, and room cleanliness.
Coordinate front-end tasks and ensure staff adhere to safety and policy guidelines.
Communicate effectively with store leadership and adapt to scheduling needs.
