Heart of Texas Goodwill in College Station, TX is seeking a Retail Lead to oversee daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and manage merchandising on the sales floor.

You will train staff, supervise associates, handle cash procedures, maintain safety, and help drive revenue to support community programs.

The role requires flexible shifts including weekends, ability to lift items, and passing a background check and drug screen as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Experience overseeing daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and staff supervision.
• Strong background in training, coaching, and motivating a diverse team to meet sales and operational goals.
• Familiarity with loss prevention, safety protocols, and adherence to company policies.
• Demonstrated ability to handle customer issues, manage schedules, and ensure a high level of store performance.

Responsibilities

• Delivers excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting, and showing appreciation.
• Trains and may supervise retail staff and program participants.
• Provides input on employee performance to store manager.
• Manages cash register procedures, opening/closing, deposits, and security of tills.
• Maintains product flow and rotation on the sales floor to ensure availability and presentation.
