Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Columbus, OH seeks a Lead to directly impact brand execution and teammate experience. Under the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, you will be the in-store expert, delivering exceptional service and guiding teammates to meet store goals.

You will hire and develop staff, ensure adherence to merchandising standards, and coach on why tasks and plans matter, fostering an inclusive, safe store environment while maintaining confidentiality of company

Qualifications

Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays.
Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
Golf experience preferred.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. repetitively.
Ability to work extended periods standing or walking.

Responsibilities

Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to build trust and respect.
Plans and coordinates 30 days out with guidance from leadership, aligning workforce for daily tasks and events.
Leads by example to ensure brand standards, programs and processes are executed daily.
Assists store leadership with supervision and training of teammates on procedures and programs.
Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
