Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help protect company assets.

The role also involves performing duties in the absence of the Store Manager and ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Six months supervisory or related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Ability to follow planograms and merchandise presentation guidelines.
• Proficient in basic math and cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; itemize purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; restock and rotate; build displays and set up sidewalk displays.
• Keep the store clean; manage trash, dust, mop floors, and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties of Sales Associate in the Store Manager/Asst. Store Manager's absence.
