Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store and deliver customer-first service. You will help customers locate and purchase merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate stock, and support store management in daily operations.

The role includes leading the front-end and merchandising efforts, opening/closing duties, and performing tasks in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and manage store cleanliness.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
