Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Canton, OH is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to keep a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help maintain displays and planograms.

In this role you may assume lead duties in the absence of Store Manager, open and close the store under direction, and perform other duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Basic math and cashier skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and product placement guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, give change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate displays, and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager; perform duties in their absence.
