Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Toledo, OH is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to keep a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and support the Store Manager in daily operations.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to follow planograms. You may open/close the store and perform duties in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Proficient with cash handling and POS operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties typically done by Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
