Job summary

The Salvation Army in Salinas, CA is seeking an enthusiastic Sales Lead to partner with the Store Manager in daily operations, including POS, inventory, and donations. You will supervise staff, schedule shifts, and coach team members to meet sales goals while ensuring excellent customer and donor service.

You will also help manage security, deposits, and back room processing, while maintaining ARC safety standards and fostering community relations through a positive, service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of one-year previous retail experience and Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in daily store operations including opening/closing, POS, inventory, and donations.
• Assumes day-to-day store operations in the absence of Store/Assistant Manager and discusses concerns with District Sales Manager.
• Monitors key performance indicators to drive store sales and profitability per budget and goals.
• Schedules store staff to ensure coverage, conducts team meetings, and coaches employees.
• Ensures customer and donor satisfaction and develops strategies to improve service.
• Supports Back Room Processing to meet daily processing goals.
• Supervises Beneficiaries when Work Therapy is in place and safeguards currency and property.
• Maintains store security, cash handling, deposits, and building security during non-operating hours.
• Ensures safety measures align with ARC policy and reports issues promptly.
• May transfer to other stores to meet business needs and completes tasks as assigned.
