Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Sales Lead in California to supervise daily retail operations, assist with merchandise, and ensure excellent customer service for donors and shoppers.

The role requires at least one year of retail experience, supervisory exposure preferred, and the ability to pass a background check. You will support store goals, manage staff coverage, and maintain secure operations within the store.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year previous retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role with Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening/closing, POS, inventory, and donations.
• Manages day-to-day operations in absence of Store/Assistant Manager and raises concerns with District Sales Manager.
• Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators to drive store sales and profitability as budgets/GOALS set.
• Schedules store employees to ensure proper coverage, conducts daily meetings, and coaches staff on time/attendance.
• Ensures high levels of customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service and community relations.
• Supports Back Room Processing to meet daily processing goals.
• Oversees supervision and reporting of program Beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place at the store.
• Maintains security of store currency, inventory, and property, including cash deposits and bank deposits.
