Job summary

bp is seeking a Learning & Development Advisor to partner with retail leaders and cross-functional teams across the US to design, coordinate, and evaluate learning initiatives that boost frontline performance. The role acts as consultant, project manager, and instructional designer, delivering solutions from eLearning to job aids, while ensuring governance, analytics, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 4-7 years of experience in Learning & Development, Retail Training, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning technologies like Articulate 360.
• Experience designing and delivering adult learning solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders, People & Culture, and operational stakeholders to identify learning and performance needs.
• Recommend appropriate learning solutions, including instructor-led training, eLearning, job aids, videos, guides, and blended learning programs.
• Provide consultation on change management, employee development, onboarding, compliance, and leadership development initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted learning advisor for retail leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Lead retail learning projects from initiation through implementation and evaluation.
• Develop project plans, timelines, communication strategies, and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Coordinate with SMEs, content designers, LMS administrators, HRIS teams, and field partners to ensure successful delivery.
• Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and resource needs.
• Create and/or oversee development of learning materials, including eLearning courses, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids and infographics, training videos, leadership resources.
• Ensure learning solutions follow established instructional design standards and learner-centered principles.
• Review and improve existing learning content to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
• Coordinate deployment of learning solutions through the LMS and other platforms.
• Maintain learning inventories, learning journeys, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with learning governance, file retention, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Partner with HRIS and LMS administrators to implement and maintain learning assignments and reporting structures.
• Monitor learning participation, completion rates, and business impact metrics.
• Analyze learner feedback and performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Recommend enhancements to learning programs, processes, and learner experiences.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the L&D function.
