Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Service and Delivery Technician III to support Safeway stores in Santa Cruz and surrounding areas. You will deploy equipment, install hardware/software, and support PCs, printers, POS, scales, and network servers.

The role requires travel to King City, Morgan Hill, Hollister, Salinas, Carmel, Monterey, San Jose up to 25% and a strong customer-service focus. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT project implementation with 2+ years in technical support, plus

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; BA/BS preferred or 3+ years of technical/training/hardware certifications preferred.
Information Technology project implementation exposure with 5+ years of technical systems and 2+ years of technical support experience.
2+ years’ experience with retail store systems, technology systems and hardware preferred.
2+ years’ experience with installation and configuration of desktop and peripheral technology preferred.
Must have a good, safe driving record and a reliable vehicle for this position.

Responsibilities

Support standard hardware platforms and systems installed throughout Safeway.
Repair PC/Server hardware, network hardware, RF hardware, and printers.
Provide recoverability of systems and applications; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Install new hardware and software; provide IT support and meet service level goals.
Coordinate with Support Center and Corporate IT groups for on-site resolutions; travel 25% within the zone.
