Job summary

2020 Companies is seeking a Retail Engagement Specialist to visit local retailers within the Detroit market, educate on the client’s financial services, and ensure a positive in-store experience. You will act as the face of the brand in the field, developing relationships and driving program adoption.

The role requires field travel, a personal vehicle, and strong customer-service skills; performance is measured by visits, in-store time, and territory coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of products and services.
• Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
• Reliable transportation within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner.
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits.
• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence.
• Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store.
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met.
