Job summary

You will manage staffing, conduct rotations in departments, and support promotion decisions with a focus on career paths and development. A strong leader with retail and team coaching experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas are helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly and give direction.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decision making.
• Ability to mentor team members across the store.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development for the team, and involvement in promotion decisions.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches the team to meet and exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures team is thoroughly trained and continuously communicates Meijer standards.
